SERVICES

Junction Count (MCC)
All Junction Count Survey or Manual Classified Turning Count (MCC) is conducted using our high mast digital recording technology.

Using OPS digital cameras to record traffic movements for analysis allows us to perform quality assurance checks and ensures 95% accuracy level for all our data collection.

OnPoint Surveys check a minimum of 10-15% of all counts undertaken to maintain control over our data.
Queue length Surveys
Queue Length Surveys can either be manually conducted on site, or in most circumstances it is possible to use OnPoint Surveys digital video technology which may be very beneficial to our clients as the footage may be supplied upon request and is a conclusive record of events.

Queue Length surveys are usually recorded in conjunction with junction counts allowing our clients to understand the full usage of the junction.
Automatic Traffic Counters
OnPoint Surveys Ltd use Metrocount ATC’s and software. Our clients often request ATC’s either in conjunction with other survey works mostly MCC or also on their own.

They are a simple way of obtaining classified traffic flows and speeds of vehicles at a given point on any A or B road.

The Metrocount software is used to generate both class and speed reports where the parameters can be set to our client’s own specification.
Origin and Destination - ANPR Surveys
O&D surveys are conducted either manually or by using OnPoint Surveys ANPR technology. Cameras would be installed at various locations filming number plates of oncoming traffic from 1 point through to the next.

This enables our clients to understand the travel patterns, journey time durations, and average speeds of vehicles travelling within the survey area.
Parking Beat Analysis
All Parking Beat Surveys are manually conducted on site, and a site inventory as taken of the Parking beat survey area.

‘Parking beat’ studies of designated streets and car parks allow data to be collected and collated to show the vacant capacity in existing systems and allows for plans to be made to accommodate new developments or alterations.
Car Park Analysis (Accumulation)
Most Car Park Analysis Surveys are manually conducted on site, though using our digital video technology may be beneficial.

Car park Analysis surveys allow data to be collected and collated to show the vacant capacity in existing systems and allows for plans to be made to accommodate new developments or alterations.
Saturation Flow and Degree of Saturation.(DOS)
Saturation Flow Survey’s can be conducted both using our high mast digital recording technology, and manually on site by OPS trained staff.

Using OPS digital cameras to record Saturation Flow data for analysis allows us to perform quality assurance checks and ensures 95% accuracy level for all our data collection. Using manual staff on site will ensure a quicker delivery of data to the client.
Pedestrian and Footfall Counts
Both manually and using OnPoint Surveys technology we provide our clients with accurate assessments of complicated pedestrian movements and behaviour, footfall studies, and high density crowd studies.

We are also keen to provide PV2 analysis in order to assist with the development of safety on our roads and sidewalks (pavements).
Cycle Surveys
There are more and more cyclists on our roads each year, local authorities are keen to increase their carbon footprint as the Mayor of London’s hire cycle scheme shows.

Our digital recording equipment allows us to provide comprehensive analysis showing cycle movements, age; and time.

In recent studies we have supplied sample passenger OD tracking data, boarding and alighting counts, platform distribution, gate line and station entry/exit data, as well as full interview surveys at complex rail and bus stations and Park and Rides around the U.K.

Surveys can be undertaken both manually and where necessary using QTS digital recording technology.
Journey Times
Journey Time studies can be conducted manually or using our in vehicle GPS camera system. Our recordings show all timings between each point and elapsed times as standard as well as feature delay and other delay times with necessary explanations.

Data can be formatted into any required template and we have experience doing numerous Bus Journey Time studies recording timings of AVL points and Boarding and Aligning time studies. We provide summery sheets that detail various averages for each run time that give our clients a clear mean view of the data over each period studied.
